Let’s start Gluttons’ first foray into news with a week-old item. That seems appropriately lax for a site that updates as sporadically as this one.
The Trib published this last week, but we were too busy sweating through another slice of pepperoni from Jimmy’s to notice. Marty Fosse, the owner of Gluttons-approved Anteprima and getting-better-every-day Acre, is opening Ombra in the north room of the Acre building. The concept is Italian tapas, whatever that is. We’re pretty sure it’s gonna make us fatter, though.
Also, while we’re in the neighborhood (and we all live way up top anyway, so this our home turf) we should note: Uptown’s getting a bakery and cheese shop! Yup. Wish the word “nosh” wasn’t in the name of the joint. We’re just gonna refer to it as “B and N.”
